World book day March 2018
The staff and children in Reception really enjoyed dressing up for world book day. All the costumes were brilliant and we loved our teachers dressing up as characters from our story, 3 Little Pigs!
Cooking March 2018
In book week we learnt about the 3 little pigs. We made biscuits and decorated them to look like a pig. We had to mix all our ingredients together and then use a rolling pin to roll out the dough. We cut out a circle shape and then put them in the oven to bake. One they were cooked we covered them in pink icing, used marshmallows for a nose, chocolate chips for eyes and grapes for the ears. They were very yummy pig biscuits that we enjoyed making and eating.
Snow Feb 2018
When we came to school on Wednesday it had been snowing! We were very lucky and Miss Hewitt took us outside to explore and play in the snow. We had lots of fun making snowballs, snowmen and snow angels. There was so much snow everywhere! Once we were finished we came back inside for a lovely cup for hot chocolate to warm ourselves up.
Kite Making Jan 2018
In Reception we have been learning all about different types of weather. We were exploring the weather in the garden and it was a very windy day, so we made some kites. We tied string onto carrier bags and let them fly in the wind. They flew very high as we chose a very windy day!
The Poppies have been at school for 3 weeks now and have really been enjoying exploring and learning in the outdoor area. We are all hoping to learns lots of new things at school and become so clever!
